Additionally, Patrick mentions that his work builds on the scholarship of Jeff Duncan-Andrade and I would point readers to his <a href=\"http:\/\/her.hepg.org\/content\/nu3436017730384w\/?p=82466720da604e12ba22839568f426a8&amp;pi=0\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cNote to Educators,\u201d<\/a> which offers a necessary look at \u201ccritical hope.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Patrick mentions at the beginning of his talk, he and I have been in similar circles for nearly a decade. My first teacher education class (taught by Dr. Duncan-Andrade) met in Patrick\u2019s classroom.
